Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants in Hoover

Most of Hoover’s Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants are on Montgomery Highway (U.S. 31), from the Vestavia Hills line south toward the Riverchase Galleria. Moe’s is on Lorna Road, one Taco Bell is on Grove Boulevard at The Grove, and a second Chipotle is on Amber Drive.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Hoover’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 17, 2026. We added the Amber Drive Chipotle and two Taco Bell restaurants because the chains’ own location pages give Hoover addresses. Habaneros Mexican Grill has no website we could find; we kept it because the Jefferson County Department of Health’s latest inspection scores show it inspected at that address on Oct. 14, 2026. We left out Amigo’s Mexican Grill and Guadalajara Grill, which have no website we could find and no second record, Los Pedros, whose only web page no longer loads, a Moe’s on Doug Baker Boulevard whose page has been taken down, and a Taco Bell on Caldwell Mill Road that its chain no longer lists in Hoover. The places

Chipotle has two Hoover restaurants, on Montgomery Highway and on Amber Drive. The chain builds burritos, bowls, quesadillas, tacos and salads to order, using what its page calls 53 real ingredients.

Habaneros Mexican Grill is a Mexican restaurant in a shopping center at 1694 Montgomery Highway. It has no website of its own that we could find, so its hours and phone are not listed here; it appears in the county health department’s latest inspection scores at that address.

Moe’s Southwest Grill on Lorna Road makes burritos, bowls, quesadillas, nachos and salads to order, with its own queso. Its page lists the same hours every day.

Taco Bell has three Hoover restaurants, two on Montgomery Highway and one on Grove Boulevard. Each page lists drive-thru hours that run well past midnight, separate dining room hours and delivery. The menu covers tacos, burritos, quesadillas and nachos.
