An index of Hoover and Jefferson County public notices: new ordinances, council and zoning agendas, bids and AlabamaPublicNotices.com. Not the official publication.
Last checked Oct. 17, 2026. This page is an index, not the official publication of any notice. Each item links to the government body or newspaper that published it; the official notice is the one they publish.
Government bodies in Alabama give legal notice in two main ways: by posting on their own websites and boards, and by publishing in a newspaper. Under Alabama law, a newspaper that prints a legal notice must also post it on AlabamaPublicNotices.com, a free statewide database run by the Alabama Press Association and the state’s newspapers, according to the site’s public notice law page. Search it by county (Jefferson or Shelby) or by keyword, such as “Hoover.”
